Yves Marchon is a Switzerland-based director, cinematographer, and producer, working across commercial and creative film projects. His approach merges analog and digital techniques, blending craft and experimentation to create visually striking, emotionally resonant work.
For over three decades, Yves has been capturing the spirit and culture of skateboarding on film. He directed some of Europe’s most celebrated skateboard films for Element Skateboards, including Rise Up (2005) and Get Busy Living (2010), and went on to create documentaries such as Second Nature (2012) and Spitsbergen 78°41’N – 16°24’E (2013).
He is currently developing a short film with international pro skater Madars Apse, shot entirely on 16 mm film.
